Tips for Sellers
- When posting your auction be specific as to charges(ie. cost, shipping, insurance.) Write a thorough description
with all known issue. Clearly state payment methods and ship to location.
- Writing the title: Use the brand, type, model, color, features and size.Think like the buyer, use Keywords that the buyer would use searching for your item, I'm looking for a car, the search might be.
Example: 2006 Honda Accord 4 Door blue with Auto,A/C.
The more Keywords matched the higher ranking your auction will received with the search engines. Adjectives(ie; Great,Beautiful) are usually not used when searching auctions.
- Take a Good picture on the item(Gallery is free with every auction) this will help it sell and can be helpful if there is a dispute, don't use stock pictures.
- Always PRINT the auction you've sold, If there is a problem this will be required to prove your case, auctions are only store for 60 days in our database.
- Keep all of your email's.
- For your protection I would check paypal verified only when posting, the system will only allow paypal members that have been verified to bid on your auction.
- If for some reason you prefer not to use the paypal verified only option, you can use the require Bidding Access Code in your listing, However currently it can't be used with Flash Buy. Works with standard and fixed bidding auctions. The bidder must contact you for Access code before bidding.
- Accepting Paypal: Please check your paypal account to verify payment has cleared before sending the item, I've heard of fake Paypal confirmation emails
being sent to sellers, this is happening on other auction sites.
- Use Paypal Free shipping service (prints label and free delivery confirmation)
- Ship only to confirmed address on the paypal confirmation page.
- When communicating with the buyer I would use the messagebase email system and also send email, not all new buyers will respond to emails or know how to use the messagebase system. This will help with communication.
